When Luna regained consciousness, she found her self on a bed of white silk and when she turned her head to the right, she saw Layla in a bed identical to hers. They could hear shuffling at the door and two women dressed in white walked in. “Oh! You’re awake!” exclaimed one of them.
The two girls were staring silently.
“Would you like to eat anything? We didn’t want to wake you, and-”
“Wait, where are we?” asked Layla.
“You are in a hospital.” replied simply one of the women. Presumably nurses.
“But-but, who are you? And, how did we get here?”asked Layla.
One of the nurses smiled. “Follow me if you feel like it. There’s someone waiting for you.”
“Mum and Dad are here? Oh good. But they’ll never believe us when we tell them what happened.” said Luna. The nurses said nothing, so the two girls sat up, and followed the nurses out of the room, padding along behind them.
They were led into a room with an old man sitting in a chair. And next to him in a glass case was…
